Simona sails past Martic into the semifinals at Indian Wells BNP Paribas Open

Simona became the first player to reach the 2022 BNP Paribas Open quarterfinals as the No.24 seed from Romania cruised past Croatia’s Petra Martic 6-1, 6-1.

Former World No.1 Halep, who won the Indian Wells title in 2015, faces No.3 seed Iga Swiatek of Poland for a spot in the final.

It was a good match. I think, yeah, probably the best match of this year,
