Simona Halep, Honorary Ambassador at Transylvania Open 2026

For Simona, the week spent at Transylvania Open 2026 was a truly special one. As the honorary ambassador of the tournament, she reunited in Cluj with the fans who supported her throughout her entire career and once again enjoyed the atmosphere of a tennis tournament.

Throughout the week, Simona was present at the most important moments of the competition. She attended the official draw ceremony, met with members of the press, the tournament team, volunteers and ball kids, as well as the many fans who came to see her again at BTarena.

Her presence brought a special energy to the tournament, while the reaction of the crowd once again showed the unique connection between Simona and the Romanian fans. At every appearance, she was welcomed with warmth and emotion, in an atmosphere that made this year’s edition a memorable one.

At the end of the tournament, Simona also attended the trophy ceremony, where she presented the singles trophy to the champion.

I had a truly magical week at Transylvania Open 2026. I’m very happy that I had the chance to be an ambassador for this tournament and to be close to the world of tennis again.

I want to congratulate the entire team for the amazing work they did. Seeing the tournament from a different perspective, behind the scenes, where so much hard work happens, meant a lot to me. I was impressed by the effort, the dedication, and the care put into every detail. Without a doubt, Transylvania Open is the best-organized WTA 250 tournament in the world.
